To date, PBP has allocated over $400 million, involving 379,000 participants.
At Brooklyn College, Dr. Menser teaches philosophy, urban sustainability, and Caribbean studies. He also serves as Associate Director for Public Engagement at the Science and Resilience Institute at Jamaica Bay and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Center for the Study of Brooklyn.
Dr. Menser is the author of numerous articles and book chapters.
His monograph, We Decide! Theories and Cases in Participatory, Democracy illustrates how his work transcends the academy.
In recognition of his many significant accomplishments, the POTC RG is renaming the Transdisciplinary Award for Research in Philosophy to The Michael Menser Award in Transdisciplinary Research in his honor.
